Planting wildflowers – grown by children from Histon and Impington Junior School, planted into beds dug by GE Energy. We planted 7 beds in total, and this will increase the diversity of flower species in the orchard.
A beautiful August afternoon at the Histon and Impington Community Orchard, and lots achieved at the maintenance session. Trees watered and sprayed with organic Aston tree wash. Tree information signs put up. Paths mown. And ragwort removed. Lots of ragwort removed. Thanks to all who came along.
